We went to see the Harry Potter Exhibition at The Powerhouse Museum. Was great day out with some amazing views. The attention to detail that these films had was amazing!
Too bad we weren’t able to take photo inside the exhibit.

So since we brought back sooo many berries from our trip to Bright I decided to give Jam making a go. I made some delicious Raspberry, Boysenberry and Vanilla Jam.

Thanks to the Mercury Competition we won some tickets to the musical Annie! While the 1st of Jan was not the most ideal time the trip was still fun. We thoroughly enjoyed it! Some of those kids are just sooo talented.
Visiting Bright December 30, 2011

So between xmas and New Year we raced down to Bright to visit Ben/s family. I really felt too quick to be a holiday, but none-the-less I enjoyed the time.
I am so jealous of their beautiful vegie garden. I can’t wait til one day I finally don’t live in an apartment so that I too can grow delicious fresh vegies and herbs.
On our second day there we went 4WD. That was fun, there was a reason one of the paths was called snake road. This is the view from the top….
We had an opportunity to enjoy some of Victoria’s finest. This is from the Brown brothers winery. The little reindeer have red noses too, so cute!

This year CEDiR celebrated Christmas with a nice lunch at the Harbourfront resturant. The view was delightful.
And we even saw a turtle swimming in the harbour. It’s the brownish dot in the photo….

So this year instead of traditional gifts I went for something a little different. I purchased a pack of six nerf guns and some extra bullets. I packaged them up with some instructions and set them up on my co-workers desks. It took them two days to work out who it was

Julefrokost is a traditional Danish Christmas Lunch celebration. I feel so blessed to have such a multi-cultural experiences in my life.
So This lunch includes three rounds of food, each with a number of dishes in them. The first round was the fish course. In Denmark they have ready access to a lot of Herring so there were quite a few with a main ingredient of herring. Though there was also some salmon and trout. The second round included like a meat pate, something I didn’t go near. Then the third and final course was a cheese course, with a huge chuck of Jalsberg.
Along with what end up being a very nice day, we also played a Christmas game that was so much fun, even if a little insane. I am totally playing this one next year with a bunch of friends!
